Hibiscus (zobo) calyces, sun-dried for tea and beverages.

Overview

Hibiscus sabdariffa calyces, known locally as zobo and sun-dried for export, are grown across Nigeria's north. Sownar sources the calyces through aggregators, cleaned and sorted for the beverage and herbal tea trade.

Typical uses: Herbal tea, beverage concentrates, natural colouring.
