Sownar arranges testing through accredited laboratories and inspection agencies against the parameters in your contract. The certificates you receive are the laboratory's own.

Tests we can arrange
The parameters most buyers ask for. Others can be arranged where a laboratory in Nigeria or at destination can perform them.
Moisture content
The first check on every lot; it governs safe storage and shipment.
Purity and foreign matter
Share of clean product, and dust, stones and plant material removed at origin.
Aflatoxin
Tested against your destination's limit, with sampling to the relevant standard. Standard for groundnuts.
Oil content and FFA
For oilseeds, shea and crushing-grade lots.
Pesticide residues
Multi-residue screening where your market or buyer requires it.
Commodity-specific tests
Cut tests for cocoa and cashew, starch for cassava, volatile oil for ginger, microbiology on request.

Prepared before departure, sent as drafts for your review, and couriered as originals with tracking.

Inspection
Third-party inspection on request
Where your contract or letter of credit calls for it, we arrange pre-shipment inspection and loading supervision by an accredited agency of your choosing. The agency reports to you directly.
